1. Who we are
LynMusic manages and plays local and remote music on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Each description applies where the relevant platform supports the feature. The developer and personal data controller is 麦文浩, residing in mainland China. For privacy questions, contact friend2015@qq.com.
We do not operate a server for centrally collecting users’ libraries, or integrate advertising, cross-app advertising tracking or additional automatic analytics uploads. Basic local features do not require a developer account. Network sources, lyrics, purchases and feedback involve the processing described below.
2. Information we process

Apple handles purchases and payments. We do not collect Apple Account passwords or payment card details through the app. Processing relies on the applicable basis for providing requested features, handling feedback, your valid consent or meeting legal obligations. Accepting the User Agreement does not give blanket consent to optional processing.
3. Network connections and third parties
Network requests provide recipients with necessary connection information, such as IP address and request time:
- Music sources: Connection, scanning, playback, downloads and synchronization send authentication information, song or file identifiers, queries and operations to servers you configure. Enabled background features may also make requests.
- Lyrics and artwork: Automatic matching, manual searches and configuration tests send song names, artists and configuration-dependent information such as album or duration to lyrics services you enable, and access lyrics or image addresses in the results. LrcAPI, AMLL and LRCLIB are interface presets; the configured address determines the recipient. Custom workflows may also send authentication fields or other template content you configure.
- FN Connect: When you use this connection method, the app sends the FN ID to Feiniu’s connection service to obtain connection addresses. Some connections may pass through a relay. The service provider is 广州铁刃智造技术有限公司.
- Apple: Product loading, purchases, trial claims, restoration and verification interact with Apple and may require system Apple Account sign-in. See App Store & Privacy.
- Wi-Fi transfer: On iOS/iPadOS, the transfer page enables a local receiver for browser-uploaded files, names and relative paths, without a developer relay server. The receiver stops when all transfer sessions end. Traffic is unencrypted; use a trusted network.
- External links, feedback and sharing: When you open a browser, send email or share, the destination processes connection information and your submitted content. GitHub feedback may be public. Manual update checks on tvOS also contact GitHub. See GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
Third-party services may process information outside mainland China and explain their own retention and deletion practices. Review the relevant service before enabling configurations or submitting content. We remain responsible for our own legal obligations, including any additional notices, consent and international-transfer safeguards required by law; this policy does not replace them. Disabling a source or feature stops its subsequent requests but cannot retract data already sent.
4. Permissions and controls
- Local network: Connects to music servers, shared folders and Wi-Fi transfer. Network type may determine audio quality, not your location.
- File access: Reads resources you select or import and makes changes, such as tag edits, at your direction. macOS may retain access to authorized locations.
- Photo additions: iOS/iPadOS requests add-only access when saving a lyrics image, without reading existing photos for that purpose.
- Clipboard: Reads or writes for your copy, paste or import actions, not background collection.
Manage configurations and permissions in the app or system settings. Refusal or withdrawal affects dependent features while other available features remain usable. These features do not request location, contacts, camera or microphone permissions.
5. Crash reports and feedback
KSCrash records crashes locally, retaining up to 5 reports without automatic upload. Supported platforms let you choose to view, copy, send or export reports. Reports may contain device and system information, exception details, stack traces and paths. Review and remove unnecessary sensitive content before sending.
When you choose to email feedback, we receive your email address, message and attachments through QQ Mail, solely to resolve issues and communicate as necessary. We delete them promptly once the issue is handled and they are no longer needed, except where retention is legally required. Opening an entry does not automatically send content. Do not post passwords, tokens or other sensitive information in public GitHub feedback.
6. Retention, security and deletion
Local libraries, preferences and manual content generally remain until you change or delete them or remove the relevant app data. Caches may be deleted under capacity, user-cleanup or system policies. Entitlement and reminder records support ongoing purchase verification and prevent duplicate reminders; trial expiry does not restart the trial. Information we hold is retained only as needed for its purpose or for legally required periods.
Use source, playlist, download and storage settings to clear relevant data. Clearing lyrics cache also deletes manually applied or pasted cached lyrics, but not embedded lyrics, sidecar files or server lyrics. Remote deletion and synchronization may modify server data; check the operation’s target.
Uninstalling does not guarantee deletion of Keychain items, system backups, exported files or images, sent email, Apple purchase history or third-party data. Manage these at their respective locations. We use system sandboxing, Keychain and access controls, without guaranteeing absolute security. Other parties on a network may read unencrypted traffic. Back up important content rather than keeping only a cached copy.
7. Your rights
You can manage local data, disable sources and withdraw system permissions. For personal data we hold, contact the email above to request access, a copy, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or applicable rights to restriction, objection and portability. We respond within applicable legal time limits and verify identity proportionately where necessary. We explain when we cannot act directly or must retain information by law. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to a competent supervisory authority.
8. Minors and policy changes
LynMusic is for a general audience and is not specifically designed for children. Minors should use it with guardian guidance; purchases and third-party services must meet applicable age and authorization requirements. Where information concerns children under fourteen or other minors specially protected by local law, we obtain necessary guardian consent and apply required protections. If we discover information received without required authorization, we investigate and handle or delete it according to law.
We update this policy and provide appropriate notice of material processing changes, obtaining renewed consent where required. Language versions do not reduce your statutory rights. See the User Agreement for usage and purchase rules.
